Peninsula State Park, Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI, USA

For 84 years the Eagle Tower was an icon in Wisconsin bringing locals and tourists together at the Peninsula State Park to view wildlife from the elevated observation deck. In 2016 the tower was deconstructed due to safety concerns.

The Wisconsin State Building Commission and the Friends of Peninsula State Park came together to fund the construction of a new tower and observation deck and awarded a general contractor the project in 2019.

Construction began in 2020 and Portland Bolt was selected to provide the steel anchor bolts and tie rods that would fasten the structure to the concrete piers and provide bracing to the wooden members. Portland Bolt shipped over 40,000 lbs. of steel fasteners in July of 2020.
