Since early 2019, Portland Bolt has supplied over 5 tons of anchor bolts to the contractor working on the Vulcan Launch Infrastructure project at Cape Canaveral. Massive tanks are required as part of the installation that hold liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, critical chemicals for rocket launches.
All of the anchor bolts and associated hardware had to be 100% USA in accordance with the Buy American Act. Portland Bolt was able to galvanize all of the anchor bolts in our 12’ long x 4’ wide x 7’ deep zinc tank. Spinning the anchor rods after removing the parts from the molten zinc allows us to ensure clean threads and a trouble-free nut fit.
