Derek came to Portland Bolt in August of 2025. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he recently moved to Portland after living in Minnesota and Hawaii. Derek graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa where he majored in Political Science. Outside of work, Derek enjoys exploring the beautiful nature Oregon has to offer and spending time with his cats. He is also a long-suffering Minnesota sports fan.
