Construction was completed on the Waterford Bay Apartments project in the early fall of 2021. Located on the waterfront of the Mississippi River in St. Paul, MN the multi-level residential project offers riverside luxury apartments in a prime location.
In the spring of 2021, Portland Bolt was contacted by the subcontractor on the project who was providing the architectural and miscellaneous steel package. Part of the scope included architectural stainless steel tie rods for the front entry canopy that ranged in length from 24’ to 34’ spans.
Portland Bolt manufactured the stainless threaded rods from 12’ long round bar and provided multiple turnbuckle connectors per strand in order to span the entire length of the connection. Clevises and turnbuckles shipped assembled to the threaded rods in order to ensure fit and function prior to arrival at the job site.
