Sheetawk Ski Lift is a new downhill ski area at Hatcher Pass. In 2015, a group of local volunteers formed the nonprofit Hatcher Alpine Xperience (HAX) with the mission of bringing a downhill skiing, boarding, and other alpine sport recreation spaces to Hatcher Pass, Alaska. This new ski lift is about 1,250 feet long and will have a vertical gain of about 300 feet.
Portland Bolt manufactured the 1-1/4” diameter thread each end anchor bolts for the ski lift. Each of these bolts included square plates that we cut and punched here in-house. After we welded the plates and nuts to the bottom of the bolts, we sent them through our own in-house galvanizing line before we shipped them out to Alaska.
