Chobani, one of the top-selling yogurt brands in the United States, announced a $500 million investment in March 2025 to increase the operations at the Twin Falls, ID, Plant. The project involves adding more than 500,000 square feet to the current site and boosting production capacity by 50%. With completion targeted for early 2026, the expansion is projected to generate around 160 new jobs while reinforcing Idaho’s leading position in the dairy industry.
Portland Bolt was selected to provide the anchor bolts for this segment of the project. The expansion required large anchor rods ranging from 1”- 1½” in diameter, along with the accompanying hex nuts and washers. These components were specified as F1554 Grade 55 anchor rods with a tack-welded nut at the bottom of the threads.
Portland Bolt specializes in providing threaded rods, which are often used as anchor bolts. Our 137,000-square-foot manufacturing facility consists of the equipment required to produce different configurations of anchor rods. We are one of only a handful of companies that not only manufacture anchor bolts but also galvanize them within the same facility. This allows us to control both the quality and the lead time.
