Albert Lea, MN, USA

As of 2018, the fire and rescue facilities in Albert Lea, MN were not in compliance with current Emergency Response Design Requirements. The city looked to change that with an $8 million contract to construct brand new, state-of-the-art facilities. The new 25,000-square-foot facility boasts 12 apparatus bays, a training tower, emergency operations center, training rooms, second-story living quarters, and a fitness room complete with lockers and laundry facilities.

The new property features awnings which required large tie-rod assemblies. Since Portland Bolt specializes in custom tie-rod assemblies, we were up to the task to manufacture the custom assemblies for this project. With our 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility, we are perfectly designed is the long rods this project required. The tie-rod assemblies ranged from 9’ to 13’ in length. All of the material was able to ship in just 3 weeks. If you have a project requiring custom tie-rod assemblies, look no further than Portland Bolt.
