The Jellys Ferry Road Bridge over the Sacramento River collapsed in July of 2016 after a fatal accident. The bridge was closed for a long time due to the damage to the deck, causing local residents a 45-mile detour to get to and from town. The bridge deck has been replaced and the old bridge is once again open. The new bridge is being built alongside the old one and will feature two lanes rather than the original one-lane version. The new bridge is scheduled to be complete by the fall of 2021.

This project required thousands of special domestic, round-head bolts with slots in the head for easy installation. Portland bolt specializes in manufacturing domestic products and our 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility is perfectly designed to manufacture custom headed fasteners. The bolts also had to be galvanized and with our in-house hot-dip galvanizing line designed for threaded fasteners, this made Portland Bolt the perfect fit for this project.
