Main Terminal, 11000 Terminal Access Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33913, USA
Project Summary
The RSW Terminal expansion broke ground in January 2025. This massive $1 billion expansion is adding a new concourse, concourse E, and 14 new gates. The project will expand the airport’s capacity and flow as the city of Fort Myers grows in popularity and traffic. Along with increased capacity, the project aims to streamline security and allow for more shopping and lounge spaces. It is currently projected to be completed in 2029. The project has publicly suffered multiple delays and redesigns, so the customer needed a fast and reliable vendor.
Product Supplied
The most recent redesign required thousands of pounds of F1554-55 all thread anchor rods. In March of 2025, Portland Bolt was contacted with a request to supply nearly 12,000 pounds of these all thread rods. These were large diameter rods cut to length for the project’s needs. We offer a wide range of diameters of all-thread rods in all three F1554 grades, with most on the shelf, ready to be cut to size and even galvanized in-house to meet our customers’ needs. We had no problem shipping these rods across the country from our Portland, OR, facility to the project in Fort Myers, FL. The rods for this project arrived on site in May of 2025 without issue. With our recent acquisition of Southern Anchor Bolt in South Carolina (now Portland Bolt Southeast), we aim to provide our East Coast customers with faster and more cost-effective shipping soon.
