A swedged anchor bolt is an alternative to a bent anchor bolt, headed anchor bolt, or rod with anchor plate. They are often used in highway work where space in the footing is limited. Concrete forms around the indentations in the round bar, providing anchoring strength.
Portland Bolt has the ability to swedge anchor rods through 3" diameter. Many State Departments of Transportation and other agencies require a different swedging pattern than shown above. Simply provide us with a drawing of the pattern and indentation sizes and we will accommodate your needs.
