Steel Structure Step Bolt
Step bolts are commonly used on communication and electrical towers. These bolts are generally provided with two A194-2H heavy hex nuts. One nut must be tightened against the thread run out. The unthreaded shank or step length is typically either 6" or 10" long depending on the overall length of the bolt.
Manufacturing
Portland Bolt manufactures step bolts in 5/8" diameter and 3/4" diameter installed on steel poles as steps. Typically step bolts are made to A449. All operations are done in-house including hot-dipped galvanizing. This allows Portland Bolt to deliver quickly to meet your schedule.
